Classroom Sin

A clock that ticks but doesn’t turn

Students stiffened as the professor stopped

Following a death stare to

A slumped student who jolted awake by

The shock of unforgivable sin

Met with the head man’s growl

He had no choice but to leave,

Rest up, and try another day

We watched and suffered

In air too heavy to breathe

As he stepped out

Having woven around barricades

Desks and backpacks, a clogged aisle

We prayed

No one would drop a pin
